ES2486dc Enterprise ZFS NAS is a high-availability (High-Availability) NAS with an all-flash storage and dual-controller architecture from QNAP. It is equipped with an Intel Xeon D-2142IT eight-core 16-thread processor and can accommodate 24 2.5-inch SAS 12Gb/s SSDs. It not only features I/O processing capabilities and transmission bandwidth but also comes with QES 2.1.1 operating system optimized for All Flash, which enhances the Flash random write performance. QES uses the ZFS file system with integrated logical disk management functions. It supports real-time block-level deduplication and real-time data compression, which can effectively reduce the number of data writes and SSD usage space, helping to extend the service life of SSDs and making the all-flash storage architecture more cost-effective. It also provides data protection capabilities with almost unlimited snapshots (Snapshot) and remote snapshot synchronization (SnapSync), fully meeting enterprise requirements such as high-availability file servers, virtual servers, desktop virtualization, medium-sized databases, as well as backup and off-site disaster recovery.
